Sywell Aviation Museum now open for 2008
22nd March 2008
With the support of our friends in the Troops, Trucks and Stores Military Vehicle Group and the Pitsford Home Guard Living History Unit (PHG), the museum officially opened for 2008 on the 22nd March.
Despite the snow (!) the opening was a great success giving our visitors the chance to see the new temporary exhibition on The Home Guard in Northamptonshire, created with the help of the PHG. Indeed we hope that the Pitsford chaps will be seen regularly at the Museum throughout the year performing drill outside the museum and talking to visitors 'in character'.
The small arms range shelter has also been completed and is now on show!
We are now open every weekend and bank holiday between 10.30 and 16.30 until the end of September - we are now taking GROUP TOUR BOOKINGS - please contact us for more details and don't forget to buy your RAFFLE tickets!
