Sywell Aviation Museum Grand Opening 2010

5th February 2010

Easter Saturday 3rd April 2010 sees the Museum open for its ninth season and as usual we welcome anyone with vintage or military vehicles who are looking for an excuse to get the oil flowing and blow away the winter cobwebs with a good run out!

Our friends from We'll Eat Again will be providing wartime food and the Pitsford Home Guard will be carrying out drill and manouveres all day. It is also hoped that we are treated to a visit by a wartime fighter to mark the occasion!

Thereafter the Museum will be open every Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday between 10.30-16.30 hours. Entry is free and we are situated next to the aircraft viewing area in a free public car park.

The Museum is always interested in receiving donated or loaned artefacts, together with military and aviation books, mannequins and unmade model kits.

The perfect Xmas gift - a trial flight

15th October 2009

Now available to buy online from the Brooklands Flying School are 30 and 60 minute trial flying lesson vouchers. Take to the air in one of Brooklands' modern AT-3 training aircraft, a fantastic experience as a one-off, or first step into getting your private pilots licence!

Your instructor will show you how an aeroplane flies, what the controls do, and hand control to you for a flight you won't forget. Depending on duration and distance you can see local landmarks or your own house from the air, and get a whole new perspective on things!

Starting at just £85 for a half hour flight, a voucher makes a perfect gift - buy online here.
