New Defiant Exhibition opened29th September 2009 Mrs Lilian Sproson from Stourbridge, West Midlands, visited Sywell
Aviation Museum on 5th September 2009 to unveil the new exhbition
displaying the remains of a Boulton Paul Defiant aircraft in which
Sgt George Edward Worledge was Air Gunner. Mrs Sproson's Father's Sister married George Worledge in 1937. Having lost her own Mother at a very young age, Lilian spent many happy hours and has fond memories of her Aunt and Uncle, whilst growing up as a young girl in Twickenham, London. She sadly also lost Sgt Worledge on 4th March 1941 at the age of seven. The Defiant Exhibition is now part of the Museum. The Museum is now closed for the winter but reopens on Easter Saturday 2010. Entry is free. | ||||
