Sywell Aviation Museum grand opening 2009
9th March 2009
The award-winning Sywell Aviation Museum opens its doors for the 2009
season at 10.30am on Easter Saturday, 11th April 2009.
The museum has lots of newly revised and enhanced displays and the
opening will be marked with the attendance of many WW2 Military
Vehicles from the Troops Trucks and Stores Group and Military Vehicle
Trust - any more are welcome! Our friends from the Pitsford Home
Guard will also be practicing drill in the car park.Tasty hot wartime
food will be provided by We'll Eat Again and it is hoped that we will
also joined by some visiting aircraft - there is a rumour that a WW2
fighter may be giving us a mini display to celebrate our opening!
Thereafter the Museum is open every weekend and bank holiday
until the end of September from 10.30 to 16.30hrs. Group visits are
welcomed outside those hours. ENTRY IS FREE!
The Museum
is always looking for new artefacts, model kits, books and mannequins
to enhance its displays. If you are interested in joining us as a
Member - please get in touch!
