Brooklands Engineering Sywell

Sadly, Brooklands Engineering Chief Engineer leaves the Company on 5th April 2024.

Despite many efforts to try and source a suitable Licenced Engineer to take over the reins, we have been unable to do so. The lack of Licenced Aviation Engineers is an industry wide issue in the UK. Without a Licenced Engineer to oversee the work output from our engineers, Brooklands Engineering is unable to continue to operate and will be forced to relinquish our CAA licence and close the business.

This is very disappointing as Brooklands Engineering, under Nick Peel's leadership, grew from nothing in 2006 into a highly successful business offering operators and private owners the highest of standards of workmanship and professionalism. It goes without saying that Sywell Aerodrome would like to thank all Brooklands Engineering customers, past and present, for their business over the past 18 years. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause aircraft owners and operators in finding an alternative maintenance facility.

We would like to thank the staff at Brooklands Engineering for all their hard work, loyalty and due diligence over the years. They should be very proud of the reputation Brooklands Engineering has earnt itself due to their efforts over the years and we wish them all the very best for the future.

Best regards,

M.H.Bletsoe-Brown

Managing Director
